Babies born before 37 weeks can
experience health issues such as low
birth weight, irregular temperature, and
unstable vital signs. Last year, MSH’s
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) cared
for 410 newborns. An infant incubator
creates a regulated environment for these
patients, who are cared for in the NICU for
an average of ten days.
