THE EVENT

The CIBC Celebration of Hope is a Luncheon, hosted by Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation. Now in its 29th year, this event brings together the community to celebrate, educate, and bring awareness about cancer and the people it affects. Guests will shop at a variety of on-site boutiques, participate in an exciting auction and various other draws included in the afternoon's festivities declaring that even Santa loves pink!

THE CAUSE

The CIBC Celebration of Hope is helping improve the lives of those affected by cancer right here in our own community.  MSH's oncology program now includes the breast health centre, chemotherapy clinic, symptom management clinic, colon health services, clinical trials and radiation consultative services. This was created in response to demand from area residents who want cancer treatment close to home. MSH has experienced a 12 per cent annual increase in new oncology consults in recent years, currently treating upwards of 30 chemo patients daily.  MSH's cancer care must continue to expand and grow to keep up with the increasing demand. Government can't fund all equipment and priority needs which is why your support is so vital.
